I finally got the new carpet installed into the front and it looks pretty good. I was finally able (with the help of a patient) able to track down recycled, environmentally-friendly carpet tiles from Flor and find people who knew how to install it. So, now the front desk is in the other room and (9 months on... hmm...) nearing completion of the remodeling.
